I have always enjoyed writing, whether it’s creative or for business, I just absolutely love it!
At the start of this year, I decided to pursue my dream of writing with a renewed passion. Although I enjoy writing for myself, I also wanted to challenge myself and have the ultimate goal of publishing my work. I know how difficult being published can be in today’s world, so while I will submit my work, I will continue to write regardless.
I had started a few novels over the years, but instead of going back to one of those ideas, I went with something new. It was difficult as I had a few ideas floating around! Ultimately, I settled on the one that I loved the most.
Over the past few months, I have carved out time to work on my novel. Three drafts later and I have a manuscript which is nearly ready to be sent out to agents or publishers. But, being my first try and having no beta readers to send it to (none of my friends or family enjoy this genre), I decided to send it away for a manuscript assessment. I will let you know how this goes – I should get this back mid January.
While I am waiting for this, I have been working on short stories for a few competitions and have started working on my next novel.
